Terms of Use

The Japanese version is the original and authoritative text. This English version is provided as a reference translation. If there is any conflict, the Japanese version prevails to the extent permitted by law.

1. Scope

These Terms apply to the mobile application “Just a Calculator” (Japanese name: “或る電卓”) and its related online services (collectively, the “Service”) provided by OTS-International CO.,LTD. (“we,” “us,” or “our”). By using the Service, you agree to these Terms.

2. The Service

The Service provides standard arithmetic, tax calculations, history, golf “Olympic” score summaries and settlement references, shared events, and creation and sharing of result images. Some features require an internet connection, account, camera permission, or paid product.

The Olympic feature only records and calculates scores entered by users. It does not provide gambling, custody or transfer of money, payment processing, prize management, or enforcement of obligations among participants.

3. Calculation results

The app is a calculation aid. Results may vary depending on displayed digits, rounding settings, inputs, or other conditions. For tax, accounting, legal, financial, or other professional decisions, you are responsible for checking original records and consulting a qualified professional.

4. Accounts

An account is required for certain features, including shared events and restoration of purchase status. You are responsible for keeping registration information accurate and protecting recovery codes, verification codes, and your device. Contact us promptly if you suspect unauthorized use.

You may request account deletion in the app. Event data and related information may become unrecoverable after deletion. We may retain purchase records and information required for legal compliance, fraud prevention, or dispute handling for an appropriate period.

5. Events and invitations

Event organizers must appropriately manage invitation recipients, event names and dates, participants, and scores. Anyone who obtains an invitation QR code or access code may be able to join the event. Share invitations with care.

6. Ads and paid products

The free version may display ads. We plan to offer a one-time ad-removal product and an automatically renewing monthly product for managing multiple weekend events in the same month. Features, price, billing period, free trials, and other conditions shown in the purchase screen and applicable app store govern your purchase.

Purchases, billing, renewals, cancellations, and refunds are generally handled under Apple App Store or Google Play systems and rules. Cancel a monthly product through your store’s subscription settings. Deleting the app does not cancel a subscription.

7. Prohibited uses

You must not:

violate law, public order, or these Terms;
use the Service for illegal gambling, transfer of criminal proceeds, or other unlawful activity;
misuse another person’s account, invitation code, or purchase entitlement;
overload, disrupt, modify, analyze, unlawfully access, or exploit vulnerabilities in the Service;
submit or share information that violates another person’s rights or privacy; or
damage the Service or our reputation.

8. Intellectual property

Rights in the app, website, text, images, design, software, and other materials belong to us or their respective rights holders. These Terms do not transfer any right beyond the limited right needed to use the Service.

9. App-store terms

Use of the iOS app is also subject to Apple’s Standard End User License Agreement and applicable Apple Media Services terms. Acquisition and purchases on Android are subject to the Google Play Terms of Service. For distribution, licensing, or billing handled by a store, the store terms prevail over inconsistent provisions of these Terms.

10. Changes and suspension

We may change, suspend, or discontinue all or part of the Service for maintenance, faults, security, legal compliance, or operational reasons. We will make reasonable efforts to announce material changes.

11. Disclaimers and limitation of liability

We do not warrant that the Service is complete, accurate, fit for a particular purpose, uninterrupted, or error-free. Except for our willful misconduct or gross negligence, or where liability cannot be limited by law, our liability is limited to ordinary and direct loss. Mandatory consumer-protection law continues to apply.

12. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms for legal, functional, or operational reasons. We will give notice of the changes and effective date on this page or in the app. Continued use after the effective date is governed by the updated Terms.

13. Governing law and jurisdiction

These Terms are governed by Japanese law. Unless mandatory law provides otherwise, the Saitama District Court or Saitama Summary Court has exclusive jurisdiction in the first instance over disputes concerning the Service.
